Body irradiation device with lamp modules which each have, in a housing, a quartz burner and a fan for generation of a stream of cooling air. A filter disc which trims the wavelength of the radiation is arranged in front of the quartz lamp in one opening in the housing wall and air inlet and air outlet openings are provided at least in one of the other walls. A motor-driven rotating table (6) with a horizontal contact surface is located on/in a base housing (4). There are at least three irradiation elements (12) which have at least three lamp modules (14, 16, 18) arranged one on top of the other and whose radiation is directed towards the vertical axis of rotation (8) of the rotating table. The irradiation elements are suspended so as to be adjustable radially to the axis of rotation on supports (20) fastened on the base. <IMAGE>
