The invention relates to a device for dispensing a mixture of a propellant gas and a product (for example a medicine) from an aerosol container under pressure 3. The device comprises a housing 1 to receive the container 3, a lid 7 and an operating lever 10, all hinged to each other. The rotational axes have been so arranged that moving of the lid 7 from the closed position to the open position sets the device in the "initiation" position, in which pressing together of the housing 1 and the driving lever 10 moves the container 3 in relation to the housing 1 and thereby opens the container's 3 outlet valve 4 in order to release the mixture from the container. <IMAGE>
