6-(2-(4-(bis(4-fluoro phenyl)methyleno)piperidino) ethyl) 7-methyl 5H-thiazolo (3,2-a) pyrimidin-5-one, is made by reacting 2-amino thiazole with an equimolar amount of a cpd. of formula (I), in which Z is a labile gps.. The reaction takes place in inert organic solvent at from 60 deg.C to reflux temp. and the prod. is separated and purified by conventional means.
