PURPOSE:To provide a printer with computer function capable of obtaining desired calculation results with required minimum corrections by allowing calculation results based on an expression after correction to be printed. CONSTITUTION:Figures are printed on a printing paper as shown in (a). Here if it is realized that for instance, [+] has been mistaken for [X], a thermal head is set to a position opposed to [X] position. When an 'erasure' key is pressed, [X] will be erased, and at the same time, the thermal head 22 is fed by a single pitch. When the thermal head 22 is spaced backward by a single pitch and an [+] operator key is pressed, [+] will be printed. When a [=] operator key is pressed under this state, CPU 50 executes calculation based on the contents of a first operand register 56c, a second operand register 56d and an operator register 56e, and stores the result into an answer register 56f. Then the thermal head 22 is relocated to a printing startup position to print the result stored in the answer register 56f with [=] as shown in (f).
