A heating unit, especially for disinfecting baby bottles, has a receptacle, which is designed as a loose attachment (12) and rests tightly against a heating element (11), for the articles to be disinfected. At the same time, the attachment (12) itself forms the housing wall. Thus, inside the housing there are no surfaces that are not subjected to disinfection and/or heating with water vapour (24) or on which bacteria or dirt can settle. <IMAGE>
