摘要 PURPOSE:To improve exhaust emission and fuel consumption, by a method wherein a fuel feed amount is corrected so that an intake air system retension fuel amount compensates for a fluctuation in an air-fuel ratio, and a correction rate responding to an operation state is imparted to a fundamental air-fuel ratio correction amount. CONSTITUTION:An air-fuel ratio is computed according to an engine operating state by an air-fuel ratio computing means 101, and a balancing state amount on constant operating conditions of an engine intake air system retension fuel amount is computed by a balancing state amount computing means 102. A difference between the balancing state amount is an estimating value is computed by a deducting means 103, and based on the deducting result, a deficient fuel amount per a unit period is computed by a deficient fuel amount computing means 104. From the deficient fuel amount and the estimating value of a before balancing state amount, the estimating value of a present balancing state amount is computed by an estimating value computing means 105. From the deficient fuel amount and a given correction rate computed according to an operating state by an estimating value computing means 106, a correction amount is computed, and an air-fuel ratio is corrected by an air-fuel ratio correcting means 108.
