PURPOSE:To improve economical efficiency, reliability, and maintainability by extracting part of a lubricating oil in a machine used under an adverse condition to renovate a lubricant and inspecting the extracted lubricating oil to detect possible abnormality inside said machine in an early stage. CONSTITUTION:A submersible pump type down hole pump 1 is provided in a hole 10 for scooping geothermal water. A lubricating oil is fed to this pump 1 via an oil feed pipe 2 by the action of an oil feed pump 4 which is controlled by a controlling device 8. Part of this fed lubricating oil is extracted from the pump 1 by the action of an equally controlled extraction pump 6 via an extraction pipe 3. And, the extracted lubricating oil is introduced into an analyzing device 7 for measuring an ultrared absorbing spectrum and others, and the analyzed data are inputted into the control device 8, to control both the pumps 4, 6.
