PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the control accuracy of energization time, by computing a required time until the energization starting time in accordance with the input interval time of newest angle signals in a low rotational speed range, and controlling the energization starting time in accordance with the required time. CONSTITUTION:During engine operation, an angle sensor 2 generates a plurality of angle signals Ne among the intervals of reference angle signals G by a reference angle sensor 1. After an MPU 4 computing a required time until the energization starting time at every time when each angle signal Ne is inputted, the energization time and a time corresponding to the ignition timing is subtracted from the time interval between the delivered newest two angle signals to obtain a required time until the energization starting time when actually effective angle signals are inputted just before ignition. Further, the value which is obtained by adding a present time to the thus computed required time is used as a set value, and therefore, an ignition signal IGt is delivered when the present time coincides with the set value, so that an ignitor 7 is energized to perform ignition.
