<p>PURPOSE:To simply detect the size of a printed paper-sheet with high accuracy by counting the number of pulses of a driving motor until a side fence shifts from a home position and contacts with the printed paper-sheet. CONSTITUTION:A printed-paper bundle 2 loaded onto a paper feeding tray 1 is restricted by transferring a side fence 3 by a stepping motor 5 through a rope 8. A paper detecting sensor 4 is installed downward at the upper edge of the side fence 3, and a sensor 9 for detecting the position of the side fence 3 is installed under the paper feeding tray 1. Each detection signal of the both sensors 4 and 9 is input into a CPU10, and the size of the printed-paper bundle 2 is detected by counting the number of steps until the stepping motor 5 revolves and stops, and said detection signal is output into a paper-size signal part 11 and a paper-end signal part 12.</p> |
