PURPOSE:To prevent joining failure by pressing V-blocks, moving partial dies, clamping both wire rods and subjecting the two front ends to butt press welding thereby actuating dividedly clamping and press welding of the two wire rods. CONSTITUTION:Wire rods 11a, 11b are inserted into die holes from both directions and are held by fingers 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d. When V-blocks 5a, 5b are pressed in an arrow (a) direction, pins 6a, 6b are moved via springs 7a, 7b and partial dies 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d are pressed and moved by the pins 6a, 6b as well. Since the springs 7a, 7b are stronger than the springs 4a, 4b in the dies, the spaces 14 of a die slope 12 and the slope 13 of the V-blocks 5a, 5b do not change. When the V-blocks 5a, 5b are pushed further, the pins 6a, 6b push and move the springs 4a, 4b. When the blocks 5a, 5b are further pushed, the partial dies 1a and 1c, 1b and 1d move so as to contact with each other, thereby press welding the front ends of the wire rods 11a, 11b. |
