PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a microfilter as a two picture element pitch and to relax the overlapping accuracy of the microfilter on an image sensor by setting a color array in the horizontal direction of the microfilter in the same color corresponding to adjacent picture element rows in two fields. CONSTITUTION:In a scan line in a field A and a one in a field B, the order of two colors in the vertical direction is reversed. Accordingly in the microfilter each color is arranged so that the lower row color in one field and the upper row color in the other field can be the same. In order to transfer signals for picture elements on two rows per scan line, two horizontal charge transfer parts 2 and 3 are provided, and a changeover switch 6 is installed after them. The changeover switch 6 is switched at every field, and chrominance signals whose order is reversed at every field are returned to a normal order. In the microfilter one color is continuously arranged over two rows without fail, whereby the manufacture of the microfilter can be facilitate. Besides a request for the overlapping accuracy of the microfilter on the image sensor can be substantially relaxed.
