PURPOSE:To enhance processing speed, compactness and simpleness of a developing apparatus, easiness of operation, photographic performance, and its stability by executing photographic processing of a disc film in a state of being loaded in a cartridge with a development processing apparatus or not provided with any part substantially shaded from light. CONSTITUTION:First, the cartridge 10 is placed on a starting stage, and kept ready, then, the vertically movable rod 121 of a transportation system 120 is moved down by turning on a processing start switch, a chuck 122 fixed to the rod 121 grips the cartridge 10 through its central hole, the system 120 conveys the cartridge 10 and immerse it into a color developing bath CD, a developing solution intrudes through the gaps, such as an exposure window and a central opening into the inside of the cartridge 10, and wets the surface of the emulsion of the disc film to color develop it. After the lapse of a prescribed time, the rod 121 is again moved up while gripping the cartridge 10, and the subsequent development processes are carried out in a bleach-fixing bath BF, a stabilizing bath for replacing water rinse, and a drying step D by similar operations like the color developing bath.
