PURPOSE:To load a microprogram into a control storage at a high speed by stopping the execution of the microprogram during the transfer of data to perform writing of data and restarting the execution of the microprogram when the contents of a scratch pad counter are equal to zero. CONSTITUTION:The address of a microprogram stored in a main memory is loaded to a scratch pad address SPA7-3 and a scratch pad count SPC7-4 respectively. Then an FF 6 is set for output of an NOEX signal 6-1 and therefore the execution of a microinstruction is stopped. At he same time, a gate circuit 7-11 is closed. The read-out data are stored in a buffer 7-1 and written to the address of a control storage 5-3 shown by a microinstruction address register 5-5. The register 5-5 receives +1 as soon as said data are written. A data transfer part 7-7 supplies information to an input/output port when the contents of the SPC7-4 are equal to zero. Then the FF 6 is reset by an interruption request supplied from the input/output port and the execution of the microprogram is started again.
