<p>PURPOSE:To improve combustion properties of an engine, by a method wherein an air passage, branched from a starting air passage and is connected to the air reservoir of an engine, is formed, and opening and closing of electromagnetic valve, located in the air passage, is controlled. CONSTITUTION:A starting air tank 1, accumulating air of about 18-25kg/cm<2>, is installed. A part of starting air from the tank 1 flows through a high pressure air pipe 2, branched from a starting air pipe, and regulated a pressure and a flow rate through a pressure reducing valve 4, a pressure reducing pipe 5, a volume 6, and an orifice 7. When a necessary state occurs, an electromagnetic valve 8 is opened, the regulated air is guided to a combustion chamber 11 through an air reservoir 10 of an internal combustion chamber, and assists improvement of a combustion state. This constitution enables especially improvement of operation performance in the in-harbor speed area of a 2-cycle internal combustion engine for a ship.</p> |
