<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate operation which requires accuracy and trouble such as the sticking and cutting of a polarizing plate by using two masks which have opening parts in the shapes obtained by splitting the shape of a normal display part for glass substrates respectively and making the orientation direction of the normal display part different from that of a display area. CONSTITUTION:A glass substrate 1 is oriented as shown by an arrow A. Then, the frame-shaped normal display part formed on a display surface is divided into two optionally, the 1st mask 3 for rubbing which has an opening part 3a in the split shape is prepared, and the glass substrate 1 is covered with the mask 3 and oriented as shown by an arrow B. The other glass substrate 2 is oriented as shown by an arrow C firstly, the 2nd mask 4 for rubbing which has an opening part 4a in the other split shape of the frame-shaped normal display part is prepared, and a glass substrate 2 is covered with the mask 4 and oriented as shown by an arrow D.</p> |
