SWITCH-CONTROLLED TYPE TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE:To enable quick and accurate speed change by simple operation by actuating a shift mechanism and a clutch operating mechanism by means of turning-on operation of a shift switch specifying a desired shift position. CONSTITUTION:When a desired shift switch is turned on, a shift motor contoller performs control action by which a shift motor 21 first turns a clutch operating mechanism 50 to disengage a clutch 14 and then turns a shift mechanism 8 to select a desired shift position. This shift position is detected by a shift position detecting means 24. Finally, the clutch operating mechanism 50 is activated as to engage the clutch 14 and the speed changing operation is completed.
