PURPOSE:To prevent a scald accident due to splashing of a boiled radiator liquid, by providing a lock mechanism operable at high temperatures only in a cap for detachably closing a liquid filling opening formed at an upper portion of a radiator body. CONSTITUTION:A liquid filling opening 2 is projected from an upper portion of a radiator body 1 storing a radiator liquid W therein. The opening 2 is formed with a flange-like outer peripheral portion 2a to be engaged with a cap 7, and a lock mechanism 3 is installed in the outer peripheral portion 2a. The lock mechanism 3 includes a spring 5 formed of a shape memory alloy operating to extend at high temperatures greater than a set temperature, thereby outwardly projecting a rod 6. The cap 7 is detachably engaged with the liquid filling opening 2, and is formed with an engagement hole 10 engageable with an end portion 6a of the rod 6. The cap 7 is provided with a valve member 9 biased by a spring 8 to tightly close the liquid filling opening 2.
