Thus various files are produced within the memory 3. These files are stored in an auxiliary memory device 5 as necessary. The direct entries E1-En of a deleted file are searched for the restoration of files. When said entries are obtained, it is checked whether a using flag is set or not as long as the present cluster number is not equal to an end code. Then the present cluster number is sent back to a memory part.
