PURPOSE:To send a sentence in matching with the data form of an opposite data terminal equipment by providing a transmission discrimination section discriminating the data form of a destination and a transmission data conversion section converting a code data into a bit data. CONSTITUTION:The transmission discrimination section 10 discriminates whether the data form of the destination is a code data or a bit data. When the section 10 discriminates that the destination data form is the bit data, the transmission code conversion section 11 converts the code data into the bit data. In sending the code data received from an input section 7 and a data terminal 17 and stored in a memory 9, the destination is called to check whether the destination data form is the code data or the bit data. In case of the code data is sent as it is and in case of the bit data, the section 11 converts the code data into the bit data, which is sent.
