Winding machine for winding a plurality of continuously running yarns (10) in spinning plants for producing man made fibres, comprising a winding spindle (2) with several empty tubes (3) clamped thereon as well as means for handling the yarns (10) during doffing of the packages (19; 141), particularly yarn catching means (44, 102) for catching the yarns (10) reciprocated by the traversing device (6) below the stationary yarn guide (11) which is positioned at the apex of the respective traversing triangle, yarn severing means (51; 106) for severing the caught yarns (10), yarn suction means (18) for removing the yarns (10) during the package doffing operation, and yarn thread-up means (17; 33; 98) for threading up the yarn running into the suction means (18) on one of the empty tubes (3) clamped on the winding spindle (2), characterized by the fact that each empty tube (3) is associated with one suction head assembly (18), one catching means (44; 102), one severing means (51; 106) and one thread-up means (17; 33; 98), that the suction head assemblies (18), catching means (44; 102), severing means (51; 106), and thread-up means (17; 33, 98) are integral parts of a constructional unit which is associated with one empty tube (3) each and adapted to move relative to the winding spindle (2), so that the suction head assembly (18), catching means (44; 102), severing means (51; 106), and thread-up means (17; 33; 98) are located in the one end position above the traversing device (6) within the traversing triangle and in the other end position below the winding spindle (2).</p> |
