PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin particles which can give a foamed vessel from which oil or water is difficult to exude, coated with or containing a specified copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer of a weight-average MW of 3,000-300,000 is obtained by copolymerizing 20-80wt% fluorine-containing vinyl monomer such as a compound of formula I or II [wherein R1 is H, CH3, F, CHF2 or the like, R2 is CH2CH2O, CmH2m, m is 1-10, R3 is CqH2q+1, (CF2)nOR5, q is 1-16, n is 1-10, R5 is CaH2a, CbF2b+1, CaH2aCbF2bH or the like, a is 0-10, b is 0-16, R7 is H or F, R8 is CaH2aCbH2b+1 or CF2CHF] with 80-20wt% hydrophilic monomer such as a compound of formula III or IV [wherein R11 is H or CH3, r is 1-4, p is 1-20, R12 is H, CH2OCH3 or O(CH3)2CH2COCH3]. Expandable thermoplastic resin particles formed by impregnating thermoplastic resin particles with a hydrocarbon having a b.p. lower than the softening point of the resin particles are coated or mixed with 0.005-0.2wt% said copolymer and, optionally, 0.05-0.2wt% higher fatty acid metal salt. |
