A numerical control unit (OPCN) into which the numeric code has been fed converts the numeric code into a character using a code converter (CC) and displays the character on a display unit (CRT). The operation information displayed on the display unit (CRT) is stored in an operation information memory (OIM), and the numerical control unit (OPCN) performs numerical control processing based on the stored operation information.
