PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality single crystal free from the air bubbles by drawing up seed crystal while rotating it in a position deflected from the central axis of a melting crucible. CONSTITUTION:A seed crystal 8 to be drawn is brought into contact with the surface of melt 7 of a melted raw material incorporated in a melting crucible 5. This seed crystal 8 is drawn up while rotating it in the position (the rotary axis y1 of seed crystal) deflected from the central axis (y) of the melting crucible 5.
