NEW MATERIAL:A perfluoroalkenyloxy group-containing vinyl compound shown by formula I (n is 2-4; position of substituent group of benzene nucleus shows para, meta or ortho position). EXAMPLE:p-Perfluorononenyloxyisopropenylbenzene. USE:A polymerizable monomer, etc., useful as a raw material for homopolymer or copolymer having hardly elimination of perfluoro substituent group by hydrolysis, etc., capable of keeping functions for a long period, suitable as rubber material, releasant, water repellent and oil repellent,optical material, gas separating membrane material, resist material, antifouling coating compound, paper processing agent, fiber treatment, etc. PREPARATION:For example, a hexafluoropropene oligomer as a raw material is reacted with isopropylphenol in the presence of a tertiary amine at 0-150 deg.C and a prepared ether compound is dehydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst such as iron oxide, etc., to give a compound shown by formula I.
