发明名称 HEATING METHOD FOR TITANIUM MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture a titanium material minimized in the formation of oxygen-enriched layers, by using an electric heating furnace having an oxygen content regulated to a low degree from a temp. at and above the required temp. in subjecting a titanium material to heating and temp. rise prior to hot rolling. CONSTITUTION:In the process of subjecting the titanium material to heating and temp. rise to 700-1100 deg.C prior to hot rolling, heating is carried out by use of the electric heating furnace in which furnace oxygen content is controlled to a low degree from the required temp. at and above 650 deg.C preheating temp., where the furnace oxygen content is regulated to, e.g., about 3%. In this method, heating is carried out by an industrially advantageous means in a afermer stage and, in a latter stage where oxygen-enrihed layers are formed, heating is accomplished in the furnace with low oxygen content. Accordingly, a heating energy cost can be reduced in the former stage. Further, titanium material of good quality minimized in the formation of oxygen-enriched layers causing flaw occurrence can be manufactured.
