PURPOSE:To improve heat transmission coefficient for heat transfer medium by a method wherein the width of comb teeth on a comb shape notch section, formed on one or a plurality of laminated flat plates which are forming an operating substance accommodating body, is widened. CONSTITUTION:An operating substance accommodating body 11 is formed by inserting and laminating second flat plates 10 between first flat plates 8. Comb shape notch sections 7 are punched on the flat plates 8, 10 of the operating substance accommodating body 11 by press work or the like and the operating substance accommodating body 11 is made by laminating a plurality of the flat plates 8, 10, the number of which is varied depending on the accommodating capacity of the operating substance while flow path bodies 13, provided with grooves for heat transfer medium flow path layers 12, and bulkhead plates 14 for bulkheads between the operating substance accommodating bodies 11 and the flow path bodies 13 are laminated sequentially to form a lamination type heat exchanger. The operating substance, accommodated in the comb shape notch sections 7 in the accommodating body 11, effects heat exchange between the heat transfer medium by reaction heat due to the occulusion and the releasing of the operating gas. Here, heat transmission coefficient may be improved by fins projected from the wide laminated wall of the comb teeth 9 of the flat plates 8, 10 for the operating substance accommodating body 11.
