PURPOSE:To effect comfortable temperature control adapted to the preference in temperature feeling of an user by a method wherein a switching unit, inputting temperature feeling directly, and an indicating unit are provided to receive the input signal of the temperature feeling by a micro-computer, inform the existence of an input in the indicating unit and change a set temperature simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The control unit of an air-conditioning machine is provided with a temperature detecting means 52, detecting a room temperature, and a switch 1, consisting of the switch 1a indicative of 'when it is hot' which is inputted when an user feels that it is hot and the switch 1b indicative of 'when it is cold' which is inputted when the use feels that it is cold. An output signal from the switch 1 is inputted into an input circuit 3 to change a set temperature memorized in a memory means. When the switch 1a of 'when it is hot' is pushed, the set temperature is reduced by a given temperature upon room heating operation. The compressor 56 of the air-conditioning machine is controlled based on the set temperature and a detected temperature while a relation between them is indicated in an indicating unit 7.
