PURPOSE:To prevent the re-evaporation of dew water of a heat exchanger without passing ventilating air through a heat exchanger and improve comfortableness by operating only the lower fan of an indoor unit while stopping a compressor. CONSTITUTION:When an air-conditioning machine is operated and a set temperature is inputted, room temperature is inputted from a room temperature sensor into a room temperature detecting unit. In case the room temperature is higher than the set temperature, a compressor is driven by the decision of an operation control unit and an upper fan 4 as well as a lower fan 5 are rotated into arrow symbol directions. According to this operation, cool air is sent to upper and lower directions in a room. When the room temperature has become lower than the set temperature, the compressor and the upper fan 4 are stopped while the lower fan 5 is rotated to the arrow sign direction whereby air, not passed through an indoor heat exchanger 3, flows in the room. According to this method, the re-evaporation of dew water of the heat exchanger 3 may be prevented. On the other hand, cool air is mixed and the distribution of room temperature may be improved.
