PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking of a ceramic chip and to improve joint strength to a base metal by casting the chip formed by binding a ceramic fiber molding to the casting part of the ceramic chip into the base metal. CONSTITUTION:The ceramic fiber molding 10 is formed to comply with a pyramidal hole 21 and a recess 13. The ceramic fiber molding 10 formed in such a manner and the ceramic chip are combined. The ceramic chip 6 covered by the resulted ceramic fibers 10 is inserted into dies and a molten aluminum alloy is poured therein. The molten aluminum alloy is impregnated by a high- pressure casting method into the gaps of the ceramic fiber molding 10. The binding strength between the chip and the metal is improved by the above- mentioned method.
