PURPOSE:The titled composition capable of extremely reducing transportation cost, obtained by using a stabilizer consisting of an aliphatic amine, an epoxide, a phenol and a lower alcohol and adding the stabilizer in a high concentration to methylene chloride useful as a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A methylene chloride composition obtained by adding 0.01-10wt% aliphatic amine (preferably diisoalkylamine), 0.1-20wt% epoxide (e.g., propylene oxide, etc.), 0.001-10wt% phenol (e.g., phenols, thymols, etc.,) and 1-10wt% lower alcohol (especially preferably methyl alcohol) in high concentrations as a stabilizer to methylene chloride. This composition causes no coloring even by increasing the amount of the stabilizer added and shows extremely high stability even if it is used as a solvent for metal cleaning by diluting the composition with widely used methylene chloride having low transportation cost. |
