PRODUCTION OF PURIFIED PROTEIN

PURPOSE:To enable efficient recovery of desired extraneous protein, by culturing a transformant in a medium containing a promoter-activity controlling substance against a promoter at an amount necessary to induce a protein synthesizing capability. CONSTITUTION:A transformant is cultured in a medium containing a promoter- activity controlling substance against a promoter at an amount necessary to induce protein synthesizing capability and the culture is continued by adding a medium containing a promoter-activity controlling substance from external source. After the completion of culture, the cultured liquid is concentrated and subjected to ion exchange chromatography to recover the desired extraneous protein-fraction. The recovered protein-containing fraction is treated by a high- performance liquid chromatography to recover the desired extraneous protein fraction as a purified protein.
