PURPOSE:To improve workability and to permit the miniaturization of dies and the automation of production by clamping and opening the dies by the movement of moving means disposed to die clamping arms and turning of the die clamping arms thereby thoroughly opening the dies. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders 74, 84, 94, 104 fixed to a frame 52 extend cylinder rods 76, 86, 96, 106 respectively to press moving dies 100, 110, etc. in the die clamping direction and at the same time a cylinder rod 136 of a die clamping cylinder 134 is extended to bring the top end 120 of the arm into press contact with columnar bodies 50a, 50b. A molten metal is poured into a cavity 150 delineated in such a manner to form a product; thereafter, the dies are opened by the operation reverse from the die forming. The easy cleaning of the dies, coating of a parting material thereto, insertion of cores into the dies and taking out of the product are made possible by the device constituted in the above- mentioned manner.
