PURPOSE:To obtain a feed having neither an offensive smell nor gizzerosine, by passing fresh air through between an inner and an outer columns to give high-temperature air, feeding this air into a kiln to dry entrails and bones of fish and treating a gas having an offensive smell evolved in the drying in a combustion furnace. CONSTITUTION:A wire net 32 containing entrails and bones of fish is hung in a cooling water tank 32 of a second cyclone dust collector 25. The entrails and bones from which fat components are thus removed are fed to a rotary type drying kiln 19 and the entrails and bones are dried with a high-temperature gas sent from a combustion furnace 45. A burner 43 is optionally ignited and the kiln is heated. An offensive gas evolved with drying of the entrails and bones of fish is sent to chambers 10 and 12 of the combustion furnace 45 and heated to >=500 deg.C to eliminate the smell. Simultaneously air sent from a blower 16 to the kiln 19 is heated through a fin 15. An exhaust gas sent from the chamber 12 is transferred through a device 25, a Venturi scrubber 27, a blower 29 and an exhaust column 30 and exhausted. An oil component in the water tank 31 is used for combustion in the combustion furnace 45. |
