PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body having high sensitivity, low light fatigue, and high dark resistance by constituting photoconductive amorphous silicon particles of high resistant fine particles having transmittivity or semitransmittivity for light and heat resistance, an amorphous silicon layer coating the fine particles, and a coating layer contg. C or N which covers the amorphous silicon layer. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous silicon particle is constituted of a photoconductive amorphous silicon layer 2 formed on a nucleus comprising a high resistant fine particle 1 having transmittivity or semitransmittivity for light and heat resistance. Further, a coating layer 3 contg. C or N is formed over the whole surface of the amorphous silicon layer 2, forming thus a three-layered structure. Any material may be useful in principle for the high resistant fine particle 1 so far as the material has 0.5-10mu particle size, >=10<12>OMEGA.cm resistance, and heat resistance, and transmittivity or semitransmittivity for light. Examples for such material are alumina, silicon oxide, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, carbon, etc. |
