PURPOSE:To obtain saw teeth excellent in cutting quality by forming grooves with a predetermined width on both the front and back faces at the center of a base material to be used as a blade tip, inserting extremely hard blade tip materials into the grooves and heating and pressing and cutting the base material and blade tip materials at the center where the blade tip materials are stuck. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 3 are formed at the center of a base material 1, and blade tip materials 2 with a thickness slightly protruding from the base material surface are inserted into the grooves 3. The blade tip materials 2 are temporarily stuck to the base material 1 by spot welding 6 or with an adhesive. Under this condition, the base material 1 and blade tip materials 2 are heated at a high temperature suitable for pressure welding and are pressurized by a pair of rollers 7, 7. Then, both of them are provided with the same plane and also are firmly stuck due to the deformation of the base material 1 or the blade tip materials 2. Accordingly, the joint can be reliably stuck without displacement. Saw teeth, particularly the top of tips, can be formed with a blade tip material excellent in cutting quality and preferable as a cutting tool, which has been hard to attain in the past.
