PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics such as cycle life, by employing a separator including glass fiber as a main component, and specifying an average hole diameter and the relationship between water content and pressure force. CONSTITUTION:A separator including glass fiber as a main component is employed. Then, in the separator, the average hole diameter is limited within a range of 30mum-50mum and the water content and pressure force are made into the relationship shown as a formula 1. Therefore, the liquid absorbing ability in a negative plate becomes superior to the separator so that the distribution of electrolyte in the battery becomes uniform, thereby it is possible to improve storage performance and suppress the lowering of the discharge capacity. |
