PURPOSE:To obtain a reproduced sound capable of recognizing sound recorded contents by correcting a signal so as to validate only signal data reproduced from a recording track preset in accordance with the travel speed of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The titled recorder is provided with a sound recording and reproducing amplifier 7, a cylinder C on which magnetic heads A8 and B9 are loaded and the magnetic tape 10 is wound, a demodulator circuit 11, a memory write circuit 12, an error correction circuit 13, a memory 14, a deinterleave circuit 15, a correction circuit 16 and a D/A converter circuit 17. Besides a selector 18 is installed between the circuits 11 and 12. When the heads 8 and 9 scan the tape 10 in a reproduction state at a speed different from a recording speed, the selector 18 selects one group of the demodulated data of the same series during the rotational period of a cylinder, and selects signals from an error generator circuit 19 in other hourly areas. The circuit 19 generates a signal which the circuit 13 recognizes as correction failure. Thus the circuit 16 executes the correction processing only of one group of the demodulated data selected by the selector 18, thereby obtaining a recognizable reproduction. |
