PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a visible stereoscopic vision, by forming display sections, with two green picture elements and a red and blue picture elements arranged at diagonal positions respectively, thereby making the polarizing surfaces of respective green colors differ from each other through polarizing filter. CONSTITUTION:Display sections 11, each of which has two green picture elements 12, 13 and a red and blue picture elements 14, 15 arranged at diagonal positions respectively, are arranged in matrix-shape, thus a display element 1 of a flat matrix CRT is formed. Further, a polarizing filter 2 is provided on the front surface of the display element 1 for polarizing the light from the green picture elements 12, 13 by the right and left sides filters 21, 22 so as to make respective polarizing surfaces differ from each other by an angle of pi/2. Then, a picture image is observed by a stereoscopic vision glasses 3. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the lowering of an average brightness without polarizing the light of a red and blue colors, while ensuring the same space frequency band width of respective kinds of emission so as to perform visible stereoscopic vision.
