PURPOSE:To aim at ensuring the reading of a bar code ticket, by providing an auxiliary centering means for closing a conveying path when a tire is detected, and a main centering means for holding the inner peripheral edge of the tire by means of chuck rollers so that the position of leveling of a bar code thicket is located to the center of the tire by both means. CONSTITUTION:After a predetermined time elapsing from the time when a sensor 17 detects a tire, a conveyer 1 is stopped while the tire opens arms 2, 2' and comes to a stop, so that the tire is located at the center of the conveyer 1. After the bright condition of the sensor 28 being confirmed, the conveyer 1 is restarted, and the arms 2, 2' open a conveying path after a predetermined time elapses. Thereafter, the tire is advanced. When the sensor 28 detects a tire, the conveyer 1 is stopped, and a table 20 is elevated in the direction A so that the table 20 is projected from a cut-out section. Then, a limit switch stops the table 20 at its elevating stroke end, and enlarges three chuck rollers 21. After the table 20 being rotated for a predetermined time, the tire is precisely located at the center of the conveyer 1. Then, the sensor 6 detects a bar code ticket labeled on the tire.
