PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an additional step and to improve an executing speed by replacing an operand in the direction of the index difference of two operands on a hardware circuit by a micro-instruction. CONSTITUTION:An operand replacing control flag 18 displays the size relation based upon the index difference between the first operand Rs and the second operand Rd, and designates the replacement or the non-replacement of the operand to an access circuit 17. When the operand reading to execute a mantissa point part operation is executed by a micro-instruction, the result of the preceding index part comparison is reflected to the operand access, and in case of the index difference, the first operand Rs and the second operand Rd in the sequence of the size, for example, the smaller operand is earlier read. Thus, it is not necessary to add an operand replacing step specially and the adjustable routine can be simplified. |
