PURPOSE:To generate an optimum thumbnail to a magazine in a short period by assigning and displaying a photographic area to each front cover page frame displayed on a display section in response to the photographic area inputted from an input means and correcting the arrangement of a font or photographic area corresponding thereto. CONSTITUTION:A page frame display means 1a displays a front cover page frame on a display section 3 in response to a page number inputted from an input means 2. A font display means 1b displays a font on a front cover page frame displayed on a display section 3 from a document area based on document generation information inputted from the input means 2 [size Q of a letter (7th class or 12 point or the like), line number L and letter packing number W]. A photographic area display means 1c assigns the photographic area on a desired location of the front cover page frame in response to the photographic area designation inputted from the input means 2. Then the font and location of photographic area displayed on the front cover page frame are corrected.
