PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of failure in a shoulder part by providing a wing chip having low heat build-up and dynamic modulus on a cap tread and covering said wing chip with a side tread, in a radial tire having an aspect ratio less than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The aspect ratio of a tire is set at 60% or less. A carcass layer 1 is installed in between a pair of right and left bead parts 8, and a belt layer 3 is provided on the carcass layer 1 at a tread part 9, while a belt reinforcing layer 4 is provided on the belt layer 3. In this structure, a wing chip 7 is provided on the end part of a cap tread 6 and is covered with a side tread 5. The loss factor tan delta of the wing chip 7 is defined as 0.06-0.15, while its dynamic elastic modulus E' is defined as 20-40kg/cm<2>. Thereby, failure in a shoulder part can be prevented, improving durability at a high speed while giving a good ride.
