PURPOSE:A coating compound composition suitable for automobiles, building materials, etc., having improved corrosion resistance even under environment apt to cause corrosion, containing a resin for coating compound and calcined mountain cork subjected to hydroxyl group addition treatment in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition containing (A) 100pts.wt. resin for coating compound (e.g. alkyd resin, etc.,) and (B) 0.5-30pts.wt. calcined mountain cork (e.g., sepiolite comprising hydrous magnesium silicate as main component) subjected to hydroxyl group addition treatment.
