PURPOSE:To quicken and ensure prediction by storing a signal from a temp. detector for a prescribed time and then executing abnormality prediction based on changes of temp. changing difference and temp. changing ratio obtd. by an analysis. CONSTITUTION:The temp. detector 7 is arranged at the upper position between a brake ring 6 arranged successively at a down gate 2 of a tundish 1 and a mold 4. Corresponding to the temp. detector 7, an abnormality detecting circuit (i) provided with a sampling circuit 8, the 1st discriminating circuit 11 and the 2nd discriminating circuit 12, and an abnormality correcting circuit (j) outputted a temporary stopping command to a billet drawing apparatus are formed respectively. The temp. detecting signal from the detector 7 is stored for a time at every prescribed time and also transferred to a shift-resistor 10 through an automatic progressive circuit 9. Next, the 1st and 2nd discriminating circuits 11, 12 execute the abnormality prediction by comparing the temp. changing difference and the temp. changing ratio within the time with the prescribed values respectively. In this way, the prediction is quickened and ensured. |
