A detergent composition, for removing in cold wash water oily soil from fibrous substrates includes: synthetic organic nonionic detergent, cationic surface active agent, and an amount, less than half of the detergents, of a water soluble C21 dicarboxylic salt, e.g., an ammonium salt. There may also be present an enzyme and/or a water soluble ionizable salt, which may be an inorganic builder for the detergent. |
