PURPOSE:To use the titled thin type scale with light weight even at places with high humidity such as a bathroom, a sink, etc., by adopting a weight detection means utilizing a change of electric resistance of a rubber elastic body having electric conductivity for the weight detection means. CONSTITUTION:The weight detection means 1 consists of the rubber elastic body 11 having the electric conductivity and electrode bases 12 and 12 in opposition with the conductive rubber 11 between. When the conductive rubber 11 is deformed by load, the electric resistance of the conductive rubber 11 is changed and further, since the rubber is generally deformed elastically, the quantity of deformation is proportional to the load. Accordingly, when an electric resistance value of the conductive rubber 11 is calculated, the quantity of deformation of the conductive rubber 11 can be calculated and as a result, the quantity of load can be calculated.
