PURPOSE:To perform efficient and continuous electroplating of a metallic strip according to the width thereof by segmenting a roll-shaped electrode disposed in a plating cell in order to turn over the metallic strip to plural chambers having independent plating liquid injection nozzles. CONSTITUTION:The roll-shaped electrode 5 for turning over the metallic strip 1 perpendicularly conducted into the electroplating cell 2 contg. an electroplating bath by a conductor roll 4, etc., and plating one face thereof and the arc-shaped electrode 10 for plating the other face of the metallic strip 1 in proximity to the lower half part thereof are disposed in the above-mentioned electroplating cell and the above-mentioned metallic strip 1 is passed into the space between the two electrodes 5 and 10. The electrode 5 is segmented to the plural chambers 5a-5e by partition walls 6, 6... in the axial line direction and the slit-shaped plating liquid injection nozzles (not shown) are independently provided to the lower half parts of the respective chambers. Plating liquid feed pipes 8a-8c are attached to each of the respective chambers.
