PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain a noble metal alloy excellent in spreadability and corrosion resistance, by manufacturing a noble metal alloy by incorporating prescribed amounts of base metal material such as Al, Ti, etc., to a noble metal material and melting and refining the above. CONSTITUTION:Prescribed amounts of base metal material such as Al, Ti, etc., and a binding material such as silver, copper, boron, etc., are incorporated to the noble metal material, which is formed into a base material of base metal alloy by melting and refining by means of any of inert atmosphere melting, vacuum melting, and vacuum arc induction melting methods. The resulting base material of noble metal alloy is worked into prescribed shape, color, etc. The amount of the base metal material such as Al, Ti, etc., to be incorporated to the noble metal material is regulated to >=50%, by weight, preferably to 70-80%.
