<p>PURPOSE:To easily correct the shape of sheets having any intricate shapes with a titled apparatus in which thermal and mechanical control means are used in combination by making selective control according to the region where the output signal of a shape detector enters the region of the above-mentioned control means. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water injection nozzles 3, 4 are provided near the front and rear surfaces of the steel sheet 2 to be rolled by a rolling section consisting of work, intermediate shift, and back up rolls 1a, 1b, 1c on the inlet side of said sheet 2 and the transverse shape detector 5 for the sheet 2 is provided on the outlet side. Either of the regions A2, A4 where the shape detection signal 5a from the detector 5 enters is discriminated in the discrimination part of an automatic shape control part 6. The sheet has an intricate shape if the signal 5a does not enter the above-mentioned region. A spot cooling operation is then executed in a cooling water flow rate control part 7. Work roll bending and intermediate roll shifting are started (symbol 6c) and the shape control of the sheet 2 is executed when the signal enters the above-mentioned region (symbol 6b).</p> |
