PURPOSE:To suppress a burr by eliminating a variance of a volume diagram, and to improve the yield of a material, by aligning inclined directions of parting lines of arm cavities of upper and lower forging dies, and positions running along the axial core direction. CONSTITUTION:In a forging die consisting of an upper die 1 and a lower die 2 for taking two pieces of pitmans, the first cavity 3 and the second cavity 4 are formed. In this state, as for a parting line 6a being a parting line of an arm cavity 6 of the first cavity 3, and a parting line 9a of the second cavity 4, its inclined directions both rise in the right and aligned, and also the axial core directions, namely, positions running along the X-X line and the Y-Y line are also aligned. Therefore, since a variance of a volume diagram can be decreased, a burr is decreased by that portion, the yield of a material is improved, and the cost can be reduced.
